Infants
Our Infant Program
Our centers allow infants the opportunity to grow and mature in a nurturing environment. We cater to the needs of each infant and their family, so we build a relationship of trust and understanding with each child.
Infants are allowed to explore through developmentally appropriate activities allowing them to become independent critical thinkers. Our teachers have a strong, open, and trusting relationship with parents to help support infant development. Goals and objectives for the infant classrooms are posted monthly.
Each child’s individual schedule (routine) is posted within the classroom. This is what you want it to be for your child, and we will accommodate as much as possible! Please do not hesitate to share with our teachers.
Throughout the day infants experience:
The time and opportunity to explore the classroom
Communication through reading
Singing during transitions and playtime
Sensory and art activities are offered daily
Free crawling while socializing with peers
Cuddling time with teachers
Outdoor play (when age and weather appropriate)
We understand that it can be frustrating for infants to be unable to communicate their wants and needs. At Run-A-Muck we introduce sign language to infants to allow them to express themselves before talking. Sign language helps infants to establish a foundation for language skills.
Take a look inside our classroom:
Breast milk is welcome in our infant classrooms.
Formula bottles do not need to be prepared before the school day.
We use the Procare app to communicate information about your child’s day; this includes sleep times, diaper changes, meals, and disposition.
Each child has a bin to store personal items inside the classroom (formula, snacks, etc.).
Infants are always learning and growing. To document their development, evaluations are completed every 3 months.
Teachers use your child’s evaluation to adjust activities that will strengthen specific areas of development.
